A few weeks ago, I worked on a Rustic, Eco-Chic faux wedding photo shoot with photographer Esther Ramsey and my Mother, calligrapher Victoria Hoke Lane. We created a fun tablescape and were delighted when it was featured yesterday on one of our favorite wedding blogs, The Bride’s Cafe!

You can check out pictures and some DIY project descriptions on the two-part posts, “Rustic Eco-Chic Affair, Part 1” and “Part 2.” Next week, I’ll share more details and more photos right here! Until then, I’m wishing you a pumpkin-pie-filled Thanksgiving!

So this is “old news” by now, but I’m still giddy with excitement— my work was recently featured on Style Me Pretty!!!

Style Me Pretty is the wedding “it” blog right now— chock full of THE prettiest, most detail-oriented, best-photographed wedding images in the blogosphere. I consider it a huge honor to see my work featured on SMP, and I can’t thank Abby enough for including the “student images” from Jessica Claire’s workshop.
Apparently these students didn’t have too much to learn, because their photos are astonishingly lovely. Summer and I had so much fun going through each of the photographer’s images, noticing the differences and various perspectives, and choosing our favorites to submit to Abby. The pictures are on SMP in three installments here, here and here. Enjoy!

Yesterday was an exciting day for us: Utterly Engaged Magazine’s fifth edition went live!!! Any day that an issue of UE comes out is a good day, as far as I’m concerned. But this issue was uber-satisfying, because Lauryl Lane designs were featured. TWICE!!!

Brandon Kidd’s images (which I shared here and were featured here) were included in an article about the paper-crafting that went into the Jessica Claire workshop photo shoot. Summer explained her various projects and how she kept things cohesive by using the same paper pattern over and over again. Not only an incredibly talented stylist and a totally fab blogger, Summer is a wonderful writer, too (ps. she has a master’s degree in English! Of COURSE she’s a terrific writer!). Naturally, there are incredible pictures of Lauryl Lane florals all throughout the article. Check it out here.

AND, there is also a little “Fresh Vendor” feature on Lauryl Lane, with some beautiful photos of my work. Thanks to all the photographers who have shared their work with me, you make my work look so good! ;-) Check out the vendor feature here.

A huge thank you to the lovely ladies of Utterly Engaged for including my work in this edition of the magazine - I had the opportunity to meet two of the UE ladies recently, and they are such fun, talented women. I am truly honored that they chose to feature my designs.
