See, I do keep my promises! I created this Rustic Eco-Chic faux wedding back in October, just for fun. My dear friend Esther Ramsey of Summerville and Co Photography let me set it up at her house in Alpine (in the mountains outside of San Diego), and she graciously provided the models (her brother and sister in law!), the pie (made by her sister Liz Summerville) ~ and of course the gorgeous location. We had so much fun getting everything set up and shooting it, and afterwards we ate a delicious supper at our “faux wedding” table!
You’ve already seen Esther’s images from this shoot, they were featured at The Bride’s Cafe HERE and HERE. Esther’s images are also currently on the opening page of my website as well as in the portfolio under “Rustic Eco-Chic.” It goes without saying that Esther’s pictures are outrageously perfect in every way, but that may have something to do with the fact that Esther is an outrageously incredible photographer.
She’s also an outrageously great friend, because she let me “second-shoot” with her. I did my best not to get in her way, and I tried not to ask too many questions (“how are you getting the sky to stay so blue???”), but mostly I just followed her around and took pictures. Many of mine look like many of hers because, after all, she was setting up most of the shots. But I thought I’d share them anyway, because they are fun. And a little bit different. And quite frankly, I can’t get enough of this shoot. It featured my favorite colors, brown and green. It was rustic and vintage and elegant all at the same time. It mixed formal and informal elements. It was 100% eco-friendly, recycled and sustainable. It made me happy. Enjoy!
I’ll have more photos from the this shoot up tomorrow, including the fabulous reception table. Check back soon!
