Golden Corn Bread

1 cup yellow corn meal

1 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar (or 1/8 cup honey) if desired
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1 egg
1/4 cup oil (we usually use about 1/3 to make it moister)

Combine dry ingredients, add rest of ingredients and beat well.  Bake in greased 8" pan at 425 for 20 minutes.
