Lauryl Lane was classically trained as a theatrical actor in London and Stratford-Upon-Avon before finishing her bachelor of arts degree at The University of Tulsa. She began working part-time in a flower shop during college and quickly discovered her passion for flowers.  She trained in floral design while continuing her theatre studies, and upon graduation, moved to pursue a career in Los Angeles. Within months of arriving in Hollywood she found herself chatting with George Clooney while designing a centerpiece that would sit in front of him at luncheon... and she never looked back. After years of working for some of the most storied floral and event designers in the industry and managing a high-end floral and landscape design studio in West Hollywood, Lauryl decided to strike out on her own in late 2007.

A designer and producer of full-scale events, Lauryl planned, designed and floralized the Los Angeles nuptials of pop star Eden xo and urban artist Ryan Wilson. Her floral designs have graced the homes of Hollywood icons as diverse as Elizabeth Taylor, Denzel Washington, Reese Witherspoon, Baz Luhrmann and Rachel Zoe. As an editorial stylist, Lauryl coined the term "botanical stylist" to describe the heavy botanical influence she brings to set decorating and prop styling for still photography and film. 

She has designed for publications such as In Style, Lucky and Elle magazines, and her wedding work has been featured in Martha Stewart Weddings, Cosmo Bride, The Knot, Brides, Glamour, Ceremony, California Wedding Day and Grace Ormond Wedding Style, among many others. 

Lauryl's styling and florals have represented non-profit organizations such as The Pasadena Playhouse and The Weingart Center, corporate powerhouses such as Direct TV, and global luxury brands such as Stuart Weitzman, Calvin Klein and Porsche.

Lauryl’s floral philosophy is centered around her belief that we are all energy, and we are all connected. This means that she sources her flowers as locally and sustainably as possible, uses flowers that are fair trade certified, and abstains from using toxic floral foam in her designs and installations. She is passionate about floral education, particularly green design techniques (aka #nofloralfoam) and is a gifted public speaker and instructor. She is often booked to speak at wedding and event conferences and other platforms, and has been a guest instructor for Poketo and FlowerSchool Los Angeles. She teaches a range of floral design and tabletop styling workshops, and has entertained floral students from around the globe.

The magic Lauryl creates for weddings and occasions has led to clients retaining her services not only on the west coast, but across the country in places such as Maui, Aspen, Austin and New York City.

In 2018, Lauryl also began studying the medicinal side of plants. She became an Herbalist in 2020 and is currently enrolled in the Clinical Herbalist track through The Herbal Academy. She plans to continue her studies with a Master’s of Science degree in Medical Herbalism in the near future, and she creates tisanes, tinctures, and much more to support herbal wellness through her “sister company,” Botanical Enchantress.

Lauryl works on location and from her home studio where she resides in the San Bernardino Mountains east of Los Angeles, with her partner, their nine-year old identical twins, and four kitty familiars.
